A Cultural Specialist Magazine in the Translation of Arabic Literature.
Dr. Adnan Al-Dhahir studied Chemistry at Baghdad University, Iraq, Moscow State University, Russia and California University ( Irvine ), USA. He also carried out academic research at Wales University ( Cardiff / GB ) and Sheffield University ( Great britain ). He currently resides in Munich, Germany, where he writes articles and poems in both Arabic and English.
Adnan Al-Sayegh was born in Iraq on 1955. He is a member of The Iraqi Union of writers, The Arab Union of Writers, the Iraqi and Arab Journalists Union, The International Journalist Organization, The Swedish Writers Union and The Swedish Pen Club. His poems have been translated to English, Swedish, Spanish, French, German, Dutch, Romanian, Norwegian, Danish, Persian and Kurdish.
Basim Furat is an Iraqi poet resides in Hiroshima, Japan. He issued many poetical collections and his poetry has been translated into many languages. This poem is from his collection (I embraced a tower thinking it is a minaret).
Brahim Alkhayat is an Iraqi poet born in 1960, in eighties, he began writing and published. He is a Graduate from faculty of Sharia, Baghdad University. He was pursued and imprisoned during the Fascist Baath Party. He is the manager of "the future" for Media "the ministry of education in 2005." he is also A member of the executive bureau of the General Union of Iraqi Writers and the spokesman of the Union. He issued a poetical collection "the Republic of the Oranges".
Dr. Faruq Mawasi, was born in Baqa El Gharbiyya in Palestine. I've begun my academic study in Bar – Ilan university obtaining the B . A Degree in Arabic language and Education ( 1973 ). And the M . A degree in Arabic literature in 1976. My Dissertation ( PH.D ) was about ( Al – Diwan school in the Arabic literature & the Impact of English Romantic Poetry upon it.) I've published fifty books ( 12 Poetry , 12 criticism , 2 short stories 6 language 3)
Fatima Naoot Fatima Naoot, an Egyptian poet, writer, translator and architect. 5 poetic collections, 4 translated books of Virginia Woolf, John Ravenscroft, and many American and British poets, and one theoretical book on art and architecture in relation with literature. Lastly she won the prize of "Arabic Poetry 2006" in Hong Kong.
Said Alwaely was born in the holy city of Najef, Iraq in1953. In 1993, he arrived to America as a political refugee. He has been living in Detroit, Michigan for about ten years. He started writing poetry in 2004. Later most of his poems were published in more than fifty Arabic newsletters and websites.
